There are three pollsters who have asked this question over the course of the war in similar format but with minor variation in question wording:
CBS: "How would you say things are going for the U.S. in its efforts to bring stability and order to Iraq? Would you say things are going very well, somewhat well, somewhat badly, or very badly?"
CNN: "In general, how would you say things are going for the U.S. in Iraq: very well, moderately well, moderately badly or very badly?"
Pew: "How well is the U.S. military effort in Iraq going? Very well, fairly well, not too well or not at all well?"
